Gulf Bunkering signs agreement with Glomar Offshore to supply HVO20 with ChangeXL

Den Helder, 1 November 2021

Gulf Bunkering has signed an agreement with their longstanding client Glomar Offshore to supply all their North Sea operated vessels with HVO20 and ChangeXL. With this special fuel blend Glomar Offshore reduces CO2 emission by 22,5%, NOx by 15,8% and soot and particulate matter by 28,8%.

HVO20 is a renewable diesel (80% diesel and 20% HVO) produced from waste and residual flows of vegetable and animal fats. It contains virtually no sulfur and unsaturated molecules such as olefins (alkenes) and aromatics. HVO20 in combination with the enzyme technology of ChangeXL ensures better and faster combustion with fewer emissions for all types of engines. Because of the faster and more complete combustion, the emission of CO₂, NOx, soot and particulate matter is considerably lower. In addition, the use of ChangeXL through its cleaning effect reduces the maintenance costs of tanks and engines.
